
Assets app orientation.
Tour the Assets app — products, consumables, fixed and bulk assets, services and labour, plus filters and columns.
Step 1: Click “Start menu”
Step 2: Click “Assets”
Step 3: Click “Products”
Products are items that are serialized of which the history, warranty etc are tracked. By default, company owned assets are listed, these are assets that might be in the warehouse or a vehicle but are not sold to a customer yet.
Step 4: Click “Customer Owned”
Customer owned products are products that have been sold and installed at customers.
Step 5: Click “Consumables”
Consumables are items sold without the need to track the serial number for warranty or history purposes. It will still be tracked for inventory purposes only.
Step 6: Click “Fixed Assets”
Fixed assets include offices, warehouses, vehicles, storage units, tools, equipment and even something like a toolbox. Fixed assets include anything that is able to contain stock or even other fixed assets. Fixed assets will by default open in “individual assets” like storages, vehicles etc.
Step 7: Click “Bulk”
Bulk assets can be tools or any company owned assets that are not tracked individually, this can include tools like spanners, drills, screwdrivers etc.
Step 8: Click “Services”
Services are tasks that are repeated continuously. A checklist can also be added to the task to gather information from the technician during their duties or to steer them in the right direction.
Step 9: Click “Labour”
Set the different labour charges.
Step 10: Using filters
Clicking on a top filter will filter all the listed items according to the named category.
Step 11: Display columns
Click on the “Columns button” to show the columns modal. Select the columns you would like to see in the list. The columns not selected will be hidden.
Step 12: Click “Refresh list”
When the list is not immediately updated automatically, clicking this button will immediately update the list of items.
